Lions advance into preliminary final; Demons wait for opponent

The Demons sliced the Lions’ lead to 13 points after a late goal by Alyssa Bannan, but it did not matter, as the visitors still booked a home preliminary final. They will have a week off, and play either Hawthorn or Carlton.

As for the Demons, they will face the winner of today’s second game, between the Saints and Crows.

That was huge. Ellie Hampson has her second goal of the afternoon, the latest just as time expires in the third term, giving the Lions a 14-point lead.
