Benji Madden & Cameron Diaz Refused to Take Daughter Raddix to Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’— But Why?
What do you do if you are a member of one of the biggest punk-rock bands in history — and your daughter likes Taylor Swift? If your Benji Madden of Good Charlotte, you refuse to let her go to the Eras Tour. Wait, what?! Sadly, it’s true! Madden just revealed that he and wife Cameron Diaz refused to take their 5-year-old daughter to Swift’s tour of the century for one big reason.
In an interview on TikTok’s Track Star show on Nov. 6, Madden revealed that his daughter Raddix loves Taylor Swift and Hayley Williams from Paramore. “I have a daughter and she’s just getting [into] playing her stuff and whatever,” he revealed in a rare comment about his little girl, per E! News. “Loves Paramore,” he added.

And while she loves the “The Fate of Ophelia” singer as well, Raddix wasn’t lucky enough to go to her Eras tour for one reason: “She was a little young.” Aww, man! Imagine having famous parents and still not being able to get a ticket to the Eras tour because you’re only a little kid. Especially because her cousin got to go!
In the joint interview with his brother Joel Madden, Joel revealed that his daughter Harlow, 17, who he shares with wife Nicole Richie, went to the concert. “She went to Taylor Swift,” Joel said. “That sh-t was expensive, bro.”
As a mom, though, I get it. I actually went to the Eras tour myself, and left my kids at home because they were too young (and I wanted to enjoy every minute myself!).
At least Benji loves letting his daughter explore her own musical tastes. And he’s supportive of her mom. Diax, who also shares son Cardinal, 1, with Benji, opened up about her husband in an interview at Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Summit in Oct. 2024.
The Charlie’s Angels star shared that Benji pushed her to get back into acting after an extended break. “My husband, he’s just the best,” she said. “He was just like, ‘You’ve been supporting us and building the family.’ And supporting him in his businesses. He’s like, ‘It’s time for us to support you and let mommy ascend and do her do her thing.’”
No doubt he’ll be just as supportive of his kids, too. Even if sometimes he does lay down the law about certain rules. And, who knows? Maybe next time Swift goes on tour, Raddix will be old enough!
