NY Giants vs. Bears live updates: NFL Week 10 game score, highlights

See Giants QB Jaxson Dart talk about raising the bar for himself, team
New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart lost a game for the first time at MetLife Stadium as the starter. He spoke about raising the bar for Big Blue.
CHICAGO – The New York Giants are in jeopardy of setting the wrong kind of franchise history on Sunday against the Chicago Bears.
If they are unable to snap a three-game losing streak, the Giants will extend their road losing streak to 11 game, which would be the longest such run in their 100 years of existence.
The Giants (2-7) have not beaten the Bears (5-3) in Chicago since 2007.
In six starts, rookie Jaxson Dart has been in command of the offense for two wins, both at home. Overall, the Giants (2-7) have lost 10 straight games on the road dating back to last season. That includes three of Dart’s six starts this year, including the collapse for the defense in Denver against the Broncos and the one-sided defeat in the rematch against the Eagles in Philadelphia last month.
Dart is playing the position at a high level, unexpected for a 22 year-old rookie who is supposed to be enduring growing pains early in his career.
Yet somehow the Giants continue to lose – and Dart is not willing to accept that as his gridiron destiny, not just for this season but beyond.
Dart is the first rookie quarterback in Giants history with five games of at least one touchdown pass, and one touchdown run, and just the third rookie to accomplish that feat in NFL history. He has thrown for 10 touchdowns with just three interceptions in six starts, adding five rushing touchdowns while completing 62.3% of his passes.
The Bears scored a season-high six touchdowns, their most points (47) in a game since 2018 and the most total yards (576) in a game since 1980 in last Sunday’s wild triumph over Cincinnati.
The Bengals erased a 41-27 deficit with 15 points in the final 1:43 of regulation to take a 42-41 lead. But Caleb Williams’ 58-yard touchdown pass to tight end Colston Loveland with 17 seconds to play gave the Bears a dramatic comeback victory.
Keep checking back for live updates and analysis throughout the game.
Jaxson Dart put forth his best half of football in bad weather – strong winds, swirling snow flurries – and, save for one mistake, it was everything the Giants could have asked for. He completed 14-of-21 passes for 199 yards in the first half, adding a touchdown run – his sixth of the season – for the Giants’ lone TD.
On a day where the teams are more likely to keep their offenses on the field rather than tempt fate in inclement weather, the Giants gave Younghoe Koo a chance late in the second quarter and he came through. Koo, in his first game as the Giants’ kicker, booted a 32-yard field goal with three seconds remaining for the halftime lead. He also hit his only PAT try after Jaxson Dart’s touchdown run.
Jaxson Dart has been balling, and the Giants were aggressive late in the first half to get in position for points. The Giants’ rookie quarterback made a mistake and gifted what should have been an easy interception in the end zone for Bears CB Nahshon Wright. But Gunner Olszewski, the intended receiver, punched the football away before Wright could complete the play.
That gave the Giants another life on offense.
Jaxson Dart scored on a touchdown run for the fifth straight game and Younghoe Koo kicks the PAT. 7-7. Dart followed a 31-yard completion to Darius Slayton with another 38-yard connection to Slayton. Nice play design with left tackle Andrew Thomas shifting to the right side. Dart fakes the pitch to the left to Motor Singletary, then keeps behind a pulling tight end Theo Johnson and Thomas’ side for the score.
The Giants haven’t had much going offensively … until the final play of the first quarter. Jaxson Dart fired downfield to Darius Slayton, giving his veteran wide receiver a chance, and in traffic, Slayton reached out and made a spectacular grab with his left hand. He pulled the football in and completed the 31-yard reception as the Giants marched beyond midfield for the first time.
Dart completed 4-of-5 passes for 58 yards in the first quarter.
Kyle Monangai grew up in New Jersey and played both high school and college ball in his home state at Don Bosco and then Rutgers.
Now he’s given the Bears a 7-0 lead with an eight-yard touchdown run over the Giants. He rushed for a career-best 176 yards last week. Dexter Lawrence had his first sack of the season negated by a defensive holding penalty on Cor’Dale Flott.
The snow flurries are picking up and after the Bears were stopped on fourth down, the Giants did the same. Jaxson Dart had Wan’Dale Robinson open on fourth-and-2 near midfield but apparently didn’t see him. The Bears converged quickly and sacked Dart to force the second turnover on downs, one for each team.
Right tackle Jermaine Eluemunor (pec) and safety Jevon Holland (knee) will return to the starting lineup after missing last week. Holland has missed the last two games after getting injured late in the first half against the Broncos in Denver.
Kicker Younghoe Koe will officially be active after being elevated from the practice squad Saturday. He will make his debut with the Giants and deal with blustery conditions in a stadium that is rarely kind to kickers.

This one certainly has the makings of an inclement weather game. There will be wind – duh, this is the Windy City – and some precipitation is expected. Could we get snow? It’s always possible given the Lake Effect around here, but a predicted snowstorm isn’t supposed to hit the Second City area until later Sunday night.

Giants vs. Bears prediction by Art Stapleton
The pick: Bears 31, Giants 24
Here’s why: The best thing the Bears do offensively is run the football. The worst thing the Giants do defensively is stop the run. So this is a brutal matchup if DC Shane Bowen and his unit can’t figure it out. Rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart is still seeking his first career win on the road. He should play well even if the weather in the Windy City makes things difficult.
