Why is Russell Wilson playing QB for Giants, not Jaxson Dart?

Dart is injured. He’s being evaluated for a concussion.

Wilson is the No. 2 QB after opening the year as the starter, so he came in.

Dart first went to the blue medical tent.

Then after being evaluated there, Dart went to the locker room with trainers.

That meant Wilson was in trying to pull off a victory over the Chicago Bears.

Dart was having a big day, including two rushing TDs.

Wilson started the first three games of the season before Dart took over the starting jobs.

In those three starts by Russ, he had one good game and two bad ones.

The Giants have felt encouraged about their future with how well Dart has played this season.

They won’t be going to the playoffs, so a Dart absence isn’t crucial as far as this season is concerned. But there’s development hopes and just general health concerns that come with any injury to the franchise QB.
