Dakota Fanning claims Tom Cruise sends her a pair of shoes for every birthday: He’s adapted over the years

Dakota Fanning has revealed that Tom Cruise still sends her a pair of shoes for her birthday every year.

Fanning confirmed this during a guest appearance on “Watch What Happens Live” with Brittany Snow. Her co-host Andy Cohen also referenced her previous statements that Cruise had given her shoes for birthdays in the past and asked if that was still their tradition.

“Yeah, he sends. Really nice shoes. It’s that simple, he always gave me shoes. He’s adapted over the years,” Fanning said.

Cruise and Fanning played father and daughter in Spielberg’s 2005 film “War of the Worlds,” an adaptation of the H.G. Wells novel of the same name and Orson Welles’ famous 1938 radio broadcast. The film also stars Miranda Otto, Tim Robbins, and Lisa Ann Walter. The film follows Cruise’s character’s efforts to protect his children as aliens begin a violent conflict with Earth’s human population.

What’s more, shoes aren’t the only gift Cruise has given Fanning over the years. In an April 2024 interview with Harper’s Bazaar, she said that Cruise actually gave her her first cell phone for her 11th birthday. /Telegraph/
