A Strictly Come Dancing star has confirmed their breakup with an Emmerdale actress as he made a ‘now single’ admission.
The ITV soap has been well represented on the BBC dancing competition over the years, with Gemma Atkinson and Kelvin Fletcher both lifting the Glitterball Trophy respectively.
One of the favourites to win the 2025 edition of the Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman programme is Lewis Cope, who plays Nicky Miligan on the dales.
Currently paired with professional dancer Katya Jones, Lewis became the first celebrity to score the first perfect 40 of the series thanks to their Couple’s Choice to Radiohead’s Creep on Saturday (November 1).
While Mimi Slinger, who played Leanna Cavanagh in the ITV soap for four years before being killed off in 2021, hasn’t competed on Strictly, her boyfriend HRVY did.
The 26-year-old singer, whose real name is Harvey Leigh Cantwell, competed with It Takes Two presenter Janette Manrara on the 2020 series.
Reaching the final of the dancing competition, HRVY and Janette were beaten to the Glitterball Trophy by comedian Bill Bailey and Oti Mabuse at the last hurdle.

One year after taking part in Strictly, HRVY met Mimi at the annual National Television Awards event in London.
This week saw HRVY taking to TikTok to have his say on a popular Vogue article titled ‘Is Having A Boyfriend Embarrassing Now?’.
The viral article which was released last week showed the changes in how ‘people showcase their relationships online’ over the years.
Posting a video where he nods and gives a thumbs up to the camera, HRVY captioned it: “I’m now single… I blame that Vogue article.”
Prior to their split, HRVY had previously opened up about how he and Mimi got to ‘see each other all the time’ due to them working in the entertainment industry.
“We get to see each other all the time. It’s a nice balance and because we’re both in the industry we both understand, so it’s easy,” he told The Sun.
Mimi’s time on Emmerdale is best remembered for when she was tragically murdered by Paige Sandhu’s serial killer Meena Jutla.
Outside of her death, Leanna was involved in a turbulent romance with ‘Joe-Warren Plant Jacob Gallagher and had a big conflict with Gabby Thomas, played by Rosie Bentham.
