Singer Halsey appeared to be groped by concertgoers during a recent performance, in shocking footage circulating on social media.
The US pop star, 31, is currently performing across America in her Back to Badlands tour, marking 10 years since the release of her debut album.
Footage from a recent concert shows Halsey getting up close and personal with fans at the front of the stage – and copping some creepy invasions of her personal space for her efforts.
The footage opens bizarrely, with a fan’s arm outstretched and their hand fully covering Halsey’s face. As they remove their hand, she’s briefly seen on camera with a shocked expression.
But the intense encounter continues, as another concertgoer reaches up to grope Halsey’s backside, exposed in her short leather skirt. Another gloved hand – presumably another fan, or concert security – prises the hand from the star’s body.
Footage of the incident has been viewed more than 12 million times on X, where some fans claiming to have been at the concert reported that the handsy concertgoer was a female fan of the star.
“I can’t even believe i have to say this. Respect Halsey and DO NOT touch her or anyone like this without their consent. You people are unbelievable,” read one viral tweet sharing the footage.
“why r ppl doing this ?? have we not learned respect, there’s no excuse for this,” another fan tweeted.
Another tweeted that the footage made them “sick to the stomach.”
“I seriously keep coming back to the fact that security has to pry her hand off. how do you still try and defend yourself after that?” another asked.
“Halsey is too nice, she should’ve thrown the mic at their face,” fumed another fan.
Halsey has not yet publicly spoken out about the incident. the singer will bring her Back to Badlands tour to Australia in February of next year.
