Ready or not, Londoners saw an early November preview of the winter season after about 10 centimetres of snow fell throughout over the weekend, with more to come on Monday.

Environment Canada is predicting snow squalls off Lake Huron to continue for the region, with northerly winds making heavy accumulations of snow possible.

“Today, with the northwest wind, we can expect to see some snow squalls from Lake Huron that could move into the London area could see amounts up to 35 cm,” said Shem Willie, a meteorologist with Environment Canada.

“You could see some near-zero visibility and blowing snow as well as a result.”

The lake-effect snow is expected to taper off by Tuesday afternoon.

By Wednesday, the temperature bumps back up to six degrees, with 10 degrees forecast for the weekend.
