‘Bluey’ Christmas EP ‘Verandah Santa’ Is Now Available. Fans of the Heeler family have a new holiday gift this year. The much-anticipated ‘Bluey‘ Christmas music is now available, featuring a new original song and a holiday version of the iconic theme tune.
Titled Bluey Verandah Santa, the extended play (EP) is officially released and can be heard on all streaming platforms via BBC Studios’ record label, Demon Music Group. The lead track, “Verandah Santa,” is already available to stream.
The four-song EP is also being released on White Vinyl record and CD. The track list for Bluey Verandah Santa includes:
- Verandah Santa: A take on the episode’s theme, featuring work with Emma Dean, Joe Twist, and additional elements by Camerata – Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra. The Bluey Music Team aimed for a sound inspired by Tchaikovsky’s ‘The Nutcracker’ and 1950s Disney Christmas records.
- Let’s Play Verandah Santa: This track uses the score directly from the ‘Verandah Santa’ episode. Composer Joff Bush noted it is a strong representation of an Australian Christmas.
- I Don’t Have a Chimney (feat. Emma Dean): A brand-new song written specifically for the release. Bush stated the lyrics were written in the style of Emma Dean’s young, Santa-obsessed children.
- Bluey Theme Tune (Christmas Version): A new festive version of the Bluey theme tune, which Bush said includes references to “Jingle Bells” and “Joy To The World” along with fun holiday percussion.
