Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra who is not very loved for his legendary film career but also for his large and close-knit family. He has been married twice and is the proud father of six children, two sons and four daughters. Dharmendra married Prakash Kaur in 1954 when he was just 19 years old. The couple has four children, actors Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, and daughters Ajita Deol and Vijeta Deol.
Ajita Deol, the elder daughter, chose a quiet life away from the film industry. She is a psychology teacher in the United States and is married to Kiran Chaudhary, an Indian-American dentist. The couple has two daughters, Nikita and Priyanka.
Vijeta Deol, the younger daughter, is associated with her father’s business ventures. Dharmendra’s production house, Vijeta Productions Pvt. Ltd., is named after her. She is married to Vivek Gill and lives in Delhi with their two children, Sahil and Prerna. Vijeta also serves as a director at Rajkamal Holdings and Trading Pvt. Ltd.
Dharmendra’s Second Marriage
In 1980, Dharmendra married actress Hema Malini. Since his first wife refused to divorce him, Dharmendra reportedly converted to Islam to marry again. The couple has two daughters, Esha Deol and Ahana Deol.
Esha Deol married businessman Bharat Takhtani in 2012. After twelve years of marriage, the two decided to part ways in 2024. Ahana Deol, the younger daughter, is married to Vaibhav Vohra, a Delhi-based businessman. The couple is blessed with twin daughters, Astraya and Adiya, and a son named Darian.
Through his six children, Dharmendra’s family continues to remain one of Bollywood’s most respected dynasties.
