Is Slack Down? Thousands Report Server Error Amid Widespread Outage

Popular messaging platform Slack experienced a major outage on November 10, leaving thousands of users unable to send or receive messages. According to Downdetector, more than 15,000 reports were filed, with most citing server errors and connection issues.

The disruption has primarily affected major U.S. metro areas, including San Francisco, Seattle, Washington DC, Chicago, Boston, and New York City.

Users quickly took to X (formerly Twitter) to vent their frustration:

“Slack outage?? In the middle of a super busy Monday, of course,” one user wrote.

“Slack status page says all green — clearly it’s not,” another commented.

“Slack died for like one minute, and for that one minute, I felt truly free,” joked a third.

As of now, Slack has not issued an official statement regarding the cause of the outage or a timeline for restoration. The company’s status page still shows all systems as operational, despite widespread user reports.
