I’m A Celebrity star Aitch has revealed to ‘raise awareness’ in the jungle for his sister as he said he ‘has a calling’.
The Manchester rapper from New Motson is one of the UK’s fastest rising musicians, becoming a household name in 2018 with the release of his debut single Straight Rhymez.
Going on to win a Brit Award and release two albums, the 25-year-old, whose real name is Harrison James Armstrong, has collaborated with the likes of AJ Tracey, Ashanti, Ed Sheeran and Anne-Marie.
It was announced on Monday (November 7) that Aitch is one of ten stars who will be competing on the annual Ant and Dec programme.
Aitch will be joined in the Australian jungle by his close friends Angry Ginge, having appeared on many of his YouTube streams.
Over the years, Aitch has been vocal about raising awareness for Down’s syndrome, with his little sister Gracie having it.
On top of releasing his song My G, which features Ed Sheeran, in honour of his sister, Aitch is an ambassador for the Down’s Syndrome Association (DSA).

When it comes to why he wanted to take part in I’m A Celebrity, Aitch revealed that he cancelled some gigs so he could take part.
“On a personal Harrison level, this show is something I grew up watching in our house. It would almost be disrespectful to say ‘no’. Why would I not do it?
“On an Aitch level, I feel like I have got this calling to raise awareness for Down syndrome and I feel that’s the perfect place.
“Also, you don’t always want to be stuck in the same world forever. You can branch out and do other things,” he said.
Aitch continued: “You don’t have to stick to the code (rap world), because you think that’s cool. I did have to cancel some gigs for it. But you are never going to branch out if you do the same thing all the time.”
Asked if his family is proud, he replied: “They had better be or I will go mad! My sister, Gracie loves it. She will be sitting there cheering me on every time she sees me on the telly.”
Meanwhile, Aitch insisted that not only does he not have any phobias, but he is expecting to be voted to do lots of trials by his fans.
“If I do get voted, does it mean they all hate me or love me? I haven’t got my head around it yet! But I think they will vote for me quite a lot. I will be alright. I will survive,” he noted.
Aitch continued: “I hope it will make people smile a bit more, but I will be staying away from the cooking area. Doing I’m A Celebrity… is going to be tougher than performing on stage.
“I have performed on stage hundreds of times now and I am used to performing. I am definitely not used to being in the jungle!”
I’m A Celebrity returns to ITV1 and ITV X on Sunday, November 16, at 9pm
