Lisa has been asked to take part in the show “numerous times”
Lisa Riley
Lisa Riley has long been one of the stars rumoured to be taking part this year, and it seems the rumours were true! The actress, 49, couldn’t have looked happier to be landing in Australia, flashing a big, beaming smile at photographers as she arrived with multiple suitcases. It seems Lisa may have to become acclimatised to a simpler way of living as she’ll soon trade her suitcases full of home comforts for a simple backpack with the bare essentials.
The star, who has played Mandy Dingle on Emmerdale on and off since 1995, has been asked to take part in the show “numerous times”. On why she signed up for the series, Lisa said: “The reason is I’m going to be 50 next year, it’s thirty years on and off playing Mandy Dingle in Emmerdale and ten years of being sober. It’s like a big baguette where everything I wanted was in it! And it’s I’m A Celebrity’s 25th series anniversary too.”

Ruby Wax OBE
Ruby Wax, who is best known for her comedy career and for interviewing celebrities on shows like The Full Wax and Ruby Wax Meets, revealed why now is the right time to take on the jungle. “I was offered the chance to take part a long time ago and I thought, ‘No, I could never do that’ but now it’s the right time. I like doing adventurous things,” she said.
