Where is The Feud filmed as Netflix fans can’t stop bingeing ‘gripping’ thriller

The Feud is catching the attention of viewers on Netflix, but where was it filmed?

The Feud, which first premiered on Channel 5 earlier this year, saw actors Jill Halfpenny and Larry Lamb impress viewers with their performances.

Now, the thriller is gaining a new following as it streams on Netflix, currently sitting just behind A Mother’s Son in the top spot for the UK.

The synopsis reads: “Neighbours on an idyllic suburban street have a falling-out over one family’s plan to build an extension to their house.”

The Feud features Jill Halfpenny as Emma Barnett and Rupert Penry-Jones as John Barnett. Other notable cast members include Amy Nuttall, Alex Macqueen, James Fleet, Ray Fearon, Larry Lamb and Jamie-Lee O’Donnell.

But where was The Feud filmed? Here’s why some of the scenes might look so familiar.

Where was The Feud filmed?

Channel 5’s six-part drama The Feud was shot in the North East of England, specifically in and around Newcastle.

The cast were spotted at various locations last summer, including outside the Town Hall in Jarrow, reports the Express.

Heaton Park was also utilised as a filming location, as well as next to a coffee van parked outside the Sambuca restaurant on the Pavilion.

Cameras were also spotted filming in Midhurst Road in Benton, where production staff revealed they had taken over three houses on the street.

Additionally, fans from Northumberland might be interested to learn that the Channel 5 drama also filmed scenes around Morpeth.

What do viewers think of The Feud?

When the series initially launched, it sparked divided opinions amongst audiences, with some viewers dismissing it as “watchable rubbish” and “b****y awful but awfully addictive”.

Meanwhile, other enthusiasts discovered the programme captivating, with several describing it as “gripping” and “entertaining”.

One viewer posted on IMDb: “I found it very easy to watch all in one go and would recommend giving it watch.”

Another concurred: “I read a few scathing reviews before I watched this. I’m glad I didn’t go by other people’s opinions. I enjoyed watching this mini series. There were lots of surprises during the six episodes.”

Supporters have also recently been expressing their admiration for the Channel 5 programme, with one Netflix watcher posting: “This cast is absolutely banging, whoever put this together deserves an award. Bravo!”
