Eagles-Packers inactives: 2 rookie healthy scratches

The Philadelphia Eagles officially announced the inactives list for their 2025 NFL Week 9 game against the Green Bay Packers.

The following Eagles players WILL NOT PLAY: Cam Jurgens, Jaire Alexander, A.J. Dillon, Mac McWilliams, Ty Robinson, and Sam Howell.

Jurgens was ruled out on the final injury report. Brett Toth is expected to make his second start at center.

Alexander was downgraded to out with “knee/coach’s decision” listed as the reasoning. He did not travel with the Eagles to see his old team in Green Bay.

Dillon is a healthy scratch for the second time in the Eagles’ last three games. His roster spot could be in jeopardy as the fourth running back behind Saquon Barkley, Tank Bigsby, and Will Shipley.

McWilliams is a healthy scratch once again. He’s only played seven defensive snaps (all in garbage time) and 14 special teams snaps so far as a rookie.

Robinson is a healthy scratch once again. He’s only played 35 defensive snaps and 15 special teams snaps so far as a rookie. Robinson may have been deemed expendable in part because the Eagles added both Jaelan Phillips and Brandon Graham, who both have experience lining up on the interior.

Howell is the emergency third quarterback. He can only enter the game if both Jalen Hurts and Tanner McKee become unavailable.

Eagles players making their debut on Monday night: the aformentioned Jaelan Phillips (wearing No. 50) and Michael Carter II (wearing No. 35).

Nolan Smith is active for the first time since Week 3; the Eagles activated him from injured reserve earlier on Monday.

Jakorian Bennett and Willie Lampkin were not activated from IR to the roster in time to play in Monday night’s game.

Philadelphia Eagles inactive list

CB Jaire Alexander – Injury/Coach’s decision.

RB A.J. Dillon – Fourth RB.

CB Mac McWilliams – Depth CB.

DT Ty Robinson – Depth DT.

QB Sam Howell – Emergency third quarterback.

Green Bay Packers inactive list

The Packers ruled out Nate Hobbs and Lukas Van Ness on their final injury report.

In addition, 2025 first-round pick Matthew Golden is inactive after being ruled questionable to play. Not a great development for the Packers, who are already banged up at wide receiver and missing top tight end Tucker Kraft.

Starting right tackle Zach Tom is active despite being ruled questionable to play.
