John Cena Set For WWE Title Match Tonight On Raw

It has been reported that John Cena will challenge for a WWE championship tonight on Raw.

According to Bodyslam, WWE has plans for John Cena to challenge Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship on tonight’s episode of Raw at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. It has been previously reported by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer that WWE has plans for Cena to win the Intercontinental Title and to defend it in his final match at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13.

Mysterio has held the title since night two of WrestleMania 41, where he defeated Bron Breakker, Finn Balor, and Penta in a Fatal Four-Way match to win the title. It has also been reported that Cena’s final opponent is planned by WWE to be Gunther.

How Many WWE Appearances Does John Cena Have Left Before He Retires?

John Cena only has four WWE appearances left on his retirement tour schedule: tonight’s episode of Raw, next week’s episode of Raw in Madison Square Garden, Survivor Series in San Diego, California, on November 29, and Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13.

It is currently unknown what role on next week’s Raw Cena will play, and the same goes for Survivor Series at the end of the month.
