Philadelphia Eagles at Green Bay Packers NFL Bet Builder tips

Philadelphia Eagles to win

The Eagles beat the Packers twice last season – 34-29 in Brazil on kick-off weekend and 22-10 in Philadelphia in the playoffs. A 40-33 win in 2022 means they are on a three-game winning streak against their NFC rivals and they look worth backing to win at Lambeau Field as a fresh team coming out of their bye week.

The Packers have to try to regain public trust after suffering their second defeat this season to a team they were expected to beat against the Panthers last week, a narrow loss in a low-scoring game bringing back memories of their earlier disappointing reverse in Cleveland.

The Eagles beat the Vikings and Giants comfortably to get back in form before their week off and they can show their championship-winning class.

Jalen Hurts (Eagles) anytime touchdown scorer

Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts started the season with four rushing touchdowns (and only three passing TDs) in his first three games this season, but he has run into the end zone only once in his last five games. That’s an unusually quiet spell for a player who has had 18, 15 and 19 rushing scores in the last three seasons and he is worth backing to get his tally ticking over again in Green Bay.

Both of the Panthers’ touchdowns against the Packers last week were close-range rushing touchdowns and that’s the zone where Hurts will usually be called upon to inch the ball over the line for the Eagles.

Saquon Barkley (Eagles) over 76.5 rushing yards

While Saquon Barkley is denied the number of rushing touchdowns that many running backs of his calibre would get given Philadelphia’s reliance on the tush-push play for goal-line scores, there are signs that he is getting back to his dominant best after a relatively subdued start to the 2025 season.

Barkley led the NFL last year with 2,005 rushing yards in the regular season, but he has managed a more mortal figure of 519 in his first eight games this year. However, he raced for a 65-yard touchdown on the second play of the game against the Giants two weeks ago and finished with a season’s best 150 yards. The Panthers’ Rico Dowdle had 130 rushing yards against the Packers last week.

Christian Watson (Packers) longest reception over 21.5 yards

Packers wide receiver Christian Watson has made an instant impact since his long-awaited return from injury, with 85 and 58 receiving yards in his first two games back. Those returns have come from just six receptions, highlighting his ability to make big plays.

He had a longest reception of 33 yards against the Steelers and 52 against the Panthers and can record one of at least 22 yards on Monday night.
