Laois firefighters called to assist as SuperValu shop destroyed in overnight blaze

Laois firefighters were called in to assist in tackling a blaze which destroyed a SuperValu shop in Roscrea overnight.
Firefighters from Laois, Offaly and Tipperary attended the fire at Bernie’s SuperValu on Main Street in Roscrea, Co Tipperary in the early hours of this morning.
It’s understood there were no casualties as a result of the fire which resulted in the evacuation of nearby properties.
A dramatic but unverified video of a blaze has been posted on social media by @speedy_1916 .

Gardaí this morning advised that Main Street Roscrea remains closed as emergency services continue to manage the fire at the premises on Main Street.
