Morning Live star Helen Skelton announced a huge show change on Tuesday (November 11).
During today’s edition of the hit BBC programme, Helen and her co-host Gethin Jones updated viewers on the latest news from across the UK.
At the start of the show, Helen announced that the episode would run for an extra 30 minutes, ending just before the two-minute silence for Remembrance Day.
“Now, we are all with you for slightly longer this morning until 11 o’clock, just before the two-minute silence for Remembrance Day on BBC One,” she shared.
Gethin added: “We’ve already seen some lovely moments this morning on BBC Breakfast.”

That wasn’t the only change on today’s show, as Strictly Fitness was also on at the earlier time of 10.05am.
“It is an extended show today, so we’re switching things up a little bit,” Helen revealed.
Today’s episode also featured appearances from Tony Blackburn, Greg Rutherford, Dr Aziza Sesay, and former Bake Off finalist Crystelle Pereira.
During the show, Tony opened up about being a baby during the war, saying: “Two years I was in the war. It’s because of people like me that we’re here now. Although I was in a cot at the time in Guildford.
“Then I was moved to Poole in Dorset, just for safety purposes, of course. I don’t remember it, obviously, but I was a part of it.

“I’m 82 now, so I don’t remember anything about the Second World War, except my dad was in the Merchant Navy and they used to tell me one or two things about it. They weren’t able to defend themselves.”
Elsewhere on today’s show, Helen and Gethin shared an update on Sara Cox as the Radio 2 DJ begins the second day of her Children in Need marathon challenge.
Sara’s Great Northern marathon challenge will see her cover 135 miles on foot across four counties – Northumberland, Durham, North Yorkshire, and West Yorkshire – a distance of five marathons across five days.
She’ll run, jog, and walk through sweeping moorland, steep ridges, and the rolling hills of northern England, with the support of towns, villages, and Radio 2 listeners along the way.
Morning Live airs weekdays on BBC One at 9.30am
