Police: Bodies removed from crypts during mausoleum burglary

PLAINS TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE CO. (WOLF) — Police in Luzerne County are investigating after two bodies were reportedly removed from their crypts at a mausoleum.

The Plains Township Police Department announced officers are investigating a burglary at the Good Shepherd Memorial Mausoleum, located along Westminster Road.

The burglary is reported to have occurred between Nov. 1 and Nov. 6.

“During the burglary, the remains of two people were removed from their crypts,” police said in a release.
