Flurries fly, dusting coats ground less than 48 hours after near-80° warmth

While some are bone dry, others are waking up to a wintry scene on this Veterans Day morning. This is especially the case in portions of Halifax, Northampton, Edgecombe and Martin Counties in North Carolina.
We hypothesize that this *could* be due to lake-enhanced snow from Lake Gaston and/or Kerr Lake.
Here are some photos sent in by WRAL viewers of the snow in some of these areas.
The first comes from Charlie Franks in Williamston. This is in Martin County – about a 45 minute drive east of Rocky Mount.

Not far from that, we have a photo from Chris Hale in Speed. This is in the northeastern part of Edgecombe County.

Another photo shows off a similar scene – a dusting of snow on top of the car here in Hobgood in Halifax County, North Carolina.

Another band of snow defied the warm ground Monday night in Sanford.

WRAL posted earlier Monday about the accumulating snow in the North Carolina mountains.
If you have pictures of any light dusting of snow, you can send those to us any time on wral.com/reportit.
