Raheem Sterling targeted by masked men in second burglary

Chelsea are aware of the incident and the club are supporting Sterling. His family home is understood to be located on Crown Estate land in Berkshire. Telegraph Sport knows its location but has chosen not to disclose the details of the development, which has been under construction for a number of years.

Sterling, 30, lives with his long-term partner Paige Milian and their children including Thiago, Tori-Sevyn and Thai-Cruz. Sterling also has an older daughter, Melody-Rose, from a previous relationship.

The attack took place before Chelsea, for whom Sterling has not played since May last year, were in action at Stamford Bridge against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League.

In 2022,it was his home in Oxshott, in a gated community close to the Chelsea training ground in the Surrey commuter village of Stoke D’Abernon, near Cobham, that was attacked.

Sterling has not played a senior game since May 25 when he made his last appearance for Arsenal, where he was on loan last season. He did have opportunities to leave in the summer, with Manchester United and Bayern Munich interested in another loan deal for the player. The understanding is Sterling was reluctant to leave the London area, much less move overseas. The expectation was that Sterling would finally leave on loan in January.

Sterling was signed in the first transfer window after Chelsea came under new ownership in 2022 and chairman Todd Boehly was temporarily the sporting director. The hope was that he would be able to offer the kind of seniority required as a four-time Premier League winner with Manchester City, who had played for Liverpool before, and he was paid accordingly – with a £300,000 per week contract which runs until June 2027. It has been a source of great frustration for both parties that the signing has not worked out.

Sterling has been training separately from the first team since he returned from his loan at Arsenal. He has posted on social media about having to train in the evening at the Cobham training ground and his schedule has been the subject of some negotiation between the club and the players’ union, the Professional Footballers’ Association, but all issues have been resolved.
