Dozens more Las Vegas flights canceled as FAA cuts enter day 5

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Dozens of flights to and from Las Vegas scheduled for Tuesday have been canceled as federal aviation cuts entered their fifth day.
The Harry Reid International Airport website shows cancellations for 26 arriving flights and 21 departing flights on Nov. 11.
The Federal Aviation Administration began cutting flights this past Friday because of the ongoing government shutdown.
Harry Reid International was listed as one of 40 high-impact airports that would be affected.
Reductions were expected to ramp up to 6% of scheduled flights by Tuesday, according to the FAA. They can grow to 8% on Thursday, Nov. 13, and 10% on Saturday, Nov. 14.
Airlines will have to issue full refunds for canceled flights, but they do not have to cover any secondary costs.
