Strictly Come Dancing viewers made the same complaint for star over “death slot” observation.
On Saturday (November 8), the remaining celebrities returned to the Strictly Come Dancing ballroom as they reached the halfway mark of the competition.
First up was Emmerdale star Lewis Cope and partner Katya Jones. They had huge shoes to fill this week after scoring the first 40 point of the series the week prior.
Although feedback from their Cha Cha was positive, they ended their routine with a total of 35.
Next up was former footballer Karen Carney and dancer Carlos Gu who tackled the Charleston to a medley of Upside Down by Diana Ross and Think by Aretha Franklin.
Motsi Mabuse labelled their performance as “contagious”, while Craig added: “I’m going to call you Kaz-Daz”, before labelling Karen a “right bobby-dazzler”.
Karen then became joint with Lewis after receiving another 35 points for her energetic dance.
Receiving their first tens of the series last week, Karen previously shared: “I still can’t believe it to be honest, you could see my jaw dropping as the first one came out. I could not believe it. It was so unreal, we were both thrilled.
“To be able to do my favourite show, it’s set in Birmingham and I’m from Birmingham, that meant a lot to me. I went in on Monday going ‘I’m not going to let them down’”.
Carlos added: “You should have seen her in the training the first hour of Monday. There’s a superpower inside of her, I’ve seen it from day one.
“In this dance I thought it was the perfect time for her to try something different and challenging. She absolutely nailed it, she wouldn’t let me down.”

However, fans noted that Karen has spent another week in the “death slot”. This is often used to refer to a celebrity dancing in what is deemed to be unfavourable for success, making a celebrity more likely to be eliminated.
On X (formerly known as Twitter), @writerofqueen wrote: “This is like the third time Karen has been in the death slot or near the beginning”
@bjornsbright added: “Kaz death slot every week is so unfair, needs our votes” as @danvers_adore penned: “i was terrified with kaz being in the death slot but oh my god she was amazing!!!”.
Another viewer, @scddevereaux questioned: “KAREN IN THE DEATH SLOT AGAIN????? What have they got against her I’m so???”
