A Love Actually reunion is happening, as two of the Christmas film’s stars were spotted filming together for the first time in 22 years.
Martine McCutcheon, who plays the Natalie – the girlfriend of Prime Minister Hugh Grant in the hit Richard Curtis film – was papped in a London street that had been transformed into a festive wonderland.
The 49-year-old former EastEnders star didn’t look like she had aged a day as she was seen cuddling up to her former co-star Thomas Brodie-Sangster, who is now 35 but was just 12 when Love Actually was filmed.
In another snap, Martine is seen warming her hands near in a Christmassey scene outside a roasted chestnut stall on London’s South Bank. And she’s wearing in a red jacket, just like the one she wore to play her famous role as Natalie.

While a youthful looking Thomas was playing the drums with a band, just like his teenage character Sam does in the 2003 movie as he tries to impress his crush Joanna with the help of his on-screen stepdad Liam Neeson.
Though the exact details of what the pair are filming is still under wraps, it’s rumoured to be a new TV advert, possibly for Google Pixel – and from what we can see, it definitely has a Love Actually theme.
An onlooker said: “It was like stepping back in time. Seeing Martine in that red coat again gave everyone goosebumps. There was snow, fairy lights and that unmistakable London backdrop – it felt like pure Christmas magic.”

Though it’s more than two decades on, Thomas is instantly recognisable from the film which kickstarted his career – and says he still gets fans coming up to him to this day despite being in his 30s.
Last year, the actor – who has since starred in Nanny McPhee, Game of Thrones, The Queen’s Gambit, Wolf Hall and most recently Disney+ series The Artful Dodger, told Virgin Radio: “I still get recognised from Love Actually all the time. I’m in my 30s now and I was 12.”
Speaking about the ‘kid from Love Actually’ role that made him famous, he said: “All of a sudden all these famous faces walked through the door and I thought, ‘Oh, actually this is going to be quite big.'”

Thomas continued: “No one could have predicted it would have the legs that it has now. It did well when it came out, but I think it did better in DVD and re-runs over Christmas, and it became almost like a cult Christmas movie afterwards.”
Asked if he could bear watching it back now, Thomas laughed as he recalled something that once happened to him over the Christmas period. He said: “It’s a silly, but really fun film based around love. It’s a lovely film.
“I got a flight back around Christmas time once and I remember going to the toilet. As I walked back to my seat half the plane were watching Love Actually and I could see it in the back of the head rests.”
