Several lots of a generic ADHD medication used by millions are under recall because users may not be getting the full benefit.
Sun Pharmaceutical Industries issued the voluntary, nationwide recall for lisdexamfetamine dimesylate capsules.
The drug is the generic version of Vyvanse and is used for both children and adults.

According to the recall, the Food and Drug Administration said the affected lots of the medication did not dissolve as expected during tests.
If a drug doesn’t dissolve well in the body, it means the patient may not be getting the actual intended dose and the full therapeutic effect.
The recall covers 100-count bottles across a range of dose sizes and expiration dates.
You can check the lot numbers to see if you are affected, or talk to your pharmacy.
