Ohio State’s Devin Royal to miss Appalachian State game with injury. What we know

Ohio State wing Devin Royal will miss his team’s Nov. 11 game against Appalachian State due to an injury.
The 6-foot-6, 230-pound guard/forward has started the first two games of the season but played through what coach Jake Diebler described as a hip injury in Ohio State’s Nov. 7 game against Purdue Fort Wayne. On Nov. 10, Diebler said Royal was battling to get back to full health and that he would be a gameday decision.
Royal only played 16:46 against Purdue Fort Wayne. Through two games, he has averaged 14.0 points and 5.5 rebounds while shooting 57.1% (4 for 7) from 3-point range and 58.3% (7 for 12) overall.
In 66 career games including 29 starts, Royal has averaged 9.2 points and 4.6 rebounds for Ohio State. As a sophomore, he averaged 13.7 points and 6.9 rebounds while solidifying himself in the starting lineup.
