DWTS’ Val Chmerkovskiy Addresses Beef Rumors With Season 34 Star Alix Earle

Dancing with the Stars, aka DWTS’s Val Chmerkovskiy, finally opened up on tension rumors wth partner, Alix Earle. For the unaware, there were reports of the two not getting along and that the Ukrainian-American dancer is “jealous” of the other pairs. Now, Chmerkovskiy has cleared the air in his recent interview.

Val Chmerkovskiy denies any ‘big controversy’ with Alix Earle on DWTS Season 34
In his interview with Parade, Val Chmerkovskiy addressed the feud buzz with DWTS Season 34 partner, Alix Earle. He stated, ” I wouldn’t give that much weight that there was some big controversy.” “There’s so many eyeballs on the show right now, and therefore there’s so much more conversation around it, which I love, right?.” The 39-year-old further added, “It’s like that double-edged sword. We want to be celebrated and watched and enjoyed by many, many people.”
“That’s why we’re entertaining,” he said. The three-time DWTS winner also explained, “But having said that, I’d be very naïve to think that every single thing I’m going to hear is going to be positive or accurate, even.” The conflict rumors between the pair might have surged from Chmerkovskiy’s teaching method which believes in tough love. He stated, “I think that my approach — one of the reasons why I’m still on the show 20 seasons later — besides my expertise or mastery in the craft.”
The dancer continued, “I think part of it is the way I show up, and I show up authentically myself.” He added, “I am not somebody that’s going to become best friends with somebody inauthentically.” Chmerkovskiy expressed, “It took time to build trust. It took time for us to be comfortable around each other.” “There’s also a level of respect that I have for Alex, and she has for me, and we have for this process.”
He shared, “I think that’s what people misconstrued in the beginning, is that respect that we have for each other in this process, that we still maintain throughout.” The dancing sensation noted, “But obviously, there’s more warmth and comfort, and I think that’s what people have seen as of late.”
