Actor Govinda loses consciousness at home, admitted to hospital

Actor Govinda was taken to hospital late on Tuesday night after he lost consciousness at his residence. The incident occurred at his home, prompting immediate medical attention. According to his lawyer and friend, Lalit Bindal, the actor had been experiencing ongoing discomfort before being rushed to the emergency department.
Bindal told India Today, “He was feeling disoriented. All tests are done, and we are now awaiting reports and opinion of neuro consultation. He is stable now,” while sharing an update on Govinda’s condition.
Medical staff conducted a complete evaluation, and the actor’s current status is reported as stable. Doctors are now awaiting the outcomes of neurological consultations to guide further care. No further complications have been reported since admission.
Govinda’s hospitalisation comes just over a year after an earlier incident in which he suffered a gunshot wound to his leg. That accident occurred in October of the previous year while the actor was handling his licensed revolver.
At the time, Govinda was preparing to leave for a show in Kolkata early in the morning. Recalling the incident after leaving the hospital, he stated, “I was leaving for a show in Kolkata and it was early morning around 5… woh giri aur chal padi (it fell and misfired)… I was stunned and then I saw a fountain of blood coming out.”
After the mishap with the firearm, Govinda’s doctor accompanied him to Criticare Hospital near his Juhu residence, where he was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit with a wound under his knee. The bullet was extracted following an hour-long operation.
According to his manager, “Govinda was keeping his licensed revolver inside a cupboard when he dropped the weapon and it went off.” The incident resulted in the actor requiring immediate medical intervention.
Following treatment and recovery from last year’s injury, Govinda resumed his professional activities. His recent hospital admission has raised concerns among fans and colleagues, but his representatives confirm that he is receiving appropriate care as doctors await further test results.
