Actor and U.S. Marine Corps veteran Rob Riggle joins TODAY to talk about his new memoir about how his military service prepared him for a career in the arts called “Grit, Spit and Never Quit: A Marine’s Guide to Comedy and Life.” Riggle shares how he balanced working in the reserves with performing on “Saturday Night Live” and “The Daily Show” and also reveals what inspired him to enlist, saying “I love this country. I really believe in it. I know we’re not perfect but I defy you to go out and find me a country that is. You won’t find it.”
