AJ Brown Doesn’t Hold Back With Troubling Remarks on Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles clawed out a hard-fought 10-7 victory over the Green Bay Packers on Monday night to improve to 7-2 on the season, but the passing attack remains a growing concern.

While quarterback Jalen Hurts connected late with DeVonta Smith on a few key plays — including a 36-yard touchdown — the offense continues to struggle getting A.J. Brown consistently involved, a recurring theme throughout the season.

Brown missed the team’s matchup against the New York Giants prior to their Week 9 bye due to a hamstring injury. Some believed he could’ve been one of the most notable names moved at the Nov. 4 trade deadline, but the Eagles ultimately held onto him, emphasizing his importance to the team.

However, after recording just two catches for 13 yards against Green Bay, Brown made it publicly clear that he’s unhappy with how things are going. During an appearance on Janky Rondo’s Madden stream on Tuesday night, Brown was asked, “Everything good? Everything been straight?”

He responded candidly.

“I mean, no. Where have you been? No… like, family’s good, but everything else? No. It’s a [explicit] show. You on some ‘How you been?’ — I’ve been struggling, brother.”

Brown’s remarks didn’t go unnoticed as fans hit the comment section to share some pretty stern reactions to what he said.

“Yeah, ima appreciate AJ as much as possible the rest of this season because if nothing changes, he’s gone,” a fan said.

Someone else added: “I hope this off season, when Howie has to choose between AJ and Patullo, I really hope he makes the right choice… AJ needs to retire an Eagle.”

Another person wrote: “Get this dude outta here! The Eagles will have no problem winning without him.”

“I can’t wait until he’s outta here, he’ll always be an eagle legend but I don’t see a way he’ll be back next year,” one more fan commented.

This season, Brown has recorded 31 receptions for 408 yards and three touchdowns. He’s currently on pace for his least productive year as a member of the Eagles after surpassing 1,000 receiving yards in each of his first three seasons with the team.

Brown has now had three separate games where he’s been limited to two or fewer receptions and hasn’t totaled more than 15 yards in any of them. His two best performances of the season came on Sept. 21 against the Los Angeles Rams, when he caught six passes for 109 yards and a touchdown, and on Oct. 19 against the Minnesota Vikings, when he posted four receptions for 121 yards and two scores.
