A.J. Brown had a brutally honest message for his fantasy owners

A.J. Brown is not having a great time in 2025. The Philadelphia Eagles’ top wideout has been a neglected piece of an uneven offense. His team ranks just 23rd in yards gained, casting shadows over the defending Super Bowl champions’ 7-2 start.
Brown had been an engine in the Philly passing offense, averaging better than 80 receiving yards per game in his first three seasons with the team. His impact has dropped dramatically in 2025. He has three games this season with fewer than 20 receiving yards. Any momentum that game from his 121-yard, two-touchdown performance against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 7 was vacated when a hamstring injury kept him out of Week 8’s win over the New York Giants.
His triumphant return to the lineup resulted in two catches in a borderline unwatchable display of dueling football doofusery in Monday night’s 10-7 win over the Green Bay Packers. Brown knows things aren’t great. And, because he’s an NFL wideout and therefore naturally predisposed to weirdness, he took to a Twitch stream to passive aggressively vent his frustrations.
“If you got me on fantasy,” Brown began in a Madden stream with social media personality Janky Rondo “man, get rid of me.”
That wasn’t all. When JankyRondo asked if everything was good for Brown, he replied “No. Where have you been? Family’s good. Everything else? No.
“It’s a [expletive]-show. … You on some ‘How you been?,’ Struggling, brother.”
Later, he called a video game touchdown from his digital counterpart “the only positive I got right now.” When the game was over, he showed his son his stats, calling it “the only highlight of … football I’m living right now.”
So it appears a meeting between teammates hasn’t quite calmed Brown down. He’s careening toward his worst season as a pro for a team whose vibes do not match their place atop the NFC. Expect more cryptic tweets to follow.
