Inside Menulog founder’s $200m+ Aussie home

The decision to shut down Aussie delivery giant Menulog, belies how popular and successful it once was, as evidenced by its founder’s $200m+ Aussie home.
The decision by Menulog’s parent company Just Eat to close down the Australian delivery giant, belies how popular and successfult it once was, as evidenced by its founder’s $200m+ Aussie home.
Just Eat bought the ubiquitous Menulog, famously promoted by rap star Snoop Dog, for almost $900m in 2015.
Now more than 10 years later it has excited Australia but that huge sale sum has allowed its founder Kamenev to deservedly created a very luxurious life for himself in one of the most exclusive pockets of Australia.

Kamenev is very protective of his privacy.
However photos from the 2023 of the renovation of his massive plot in Vaucluse in Sydney’s affluent Eastern Suburbs, nominated for several building awards revealed more about his stunning home likely worth more than $200.
The photos have offered a rare glimpse into the home build that has been declared “the best house in Sydney” (and possibly the best in Australia).
It took seven long years since Kamenev bought an amalgamated site in Sydney’s exclusive Eastern Suburbs, consisting of four separate properties, for $80m, to finish the home.
But it was worth the wait.

The Ukrainian refugee, whose net worth more than $500m according to The Australian’s Richest 250 list, bought the prime waterfront site in 2016, before lodging plans for a French-style chateau a year later.
However, those plans were knocked on the head by development authorities and Kamenev, shifted his sights to a more uber contemporary home.
The home was completed at a build cost in excess of $30m.
Given the huge demand for premium homes in Sydney and the rise in prices at the top end of the market since Kamenev bought the amalgamated site, it’s more than conceivable the home could now be worth more than $200 if it went to market.
