US govt shutdown comes to an end

The longest federal government shutdown in US history has come to an end.

It came after the US House of Representatives voted to pass a spending bill, which was then signed by President Donald Trump.

After 43 days on furlough or working without pay, federal employees are now anxiously waiting for the reinstatement of their pay and entitlements.
