Watch Kai Trump sign with University of Miami women’s golf

Kai Trump inked her name on her commitment, officially signing with University of Miami women’s golf during a signing day ceremony.

  • The PGA Tour, LPGA, and PGA Tour Champions are all heading into their final tournaments of the 2025 season.
  • Steven Alker leads the PGA Tour Champions’ Charles Schwab Cup standings heading into the final event in Phoenix.
  • High school senior Kai Trump, granddaughter of President Donald Trump, is playing as an amateur in the LPGA’s The Annika event.

The PGA Tour Champions closes the season this week.

The PGA Tour and LPGA have one more event before they also draw the curtain on 2025 next week.

Professional golf is winding down, but that doesn’t mean proceedings will be dull by any stretch. All three events this week will run 72 holes, beginning on Nov. 13.

PGA Tour Champions: Chasing Steven Alker

The PGA Tour Champions will decide the winner of the season-long Charles Schwab Cup with the Schwab Cup Championship at the Phoenix Country Club. The top five players are the only ones in the field of 36 who can win, depending on various scenarios, but points leader Steven Alker, who won the last event at the Simmons Bank Championship, is in the best shape with a $96,714 lead over No. 2 Miguel Angel Jimenez.

Also able to win are No. 3 Stewart Cink, No. 4 Ernie Els and No. 5 Thomas Bjorn.

It’s also a diverse top five, based on home country: Alker is from New Zealand, Jimenez from Spain, Cink from the U.S., Els from South Africa and Bjorn from Denmark.

PGA Tour: Max McGreevy on the bubble

The PGA Tour is playing the Butterfield Bermuda Championship, with players scrambling for the top 100 this week and next week at the RSM Classic at the Sea Island Resort to retain their playing privileges for 2026. Max McGreevy is on the No. 100 bubble for FedEx Fall points at 502.11, with 10 players within 50 points.

That gap can be made up with a finish of 17th or higher at the Port Royal Golf Course in Southampton.

LPGA: Jeeno Thitikul has big CME lead, Kai Trump stealing headlines

The LPGA begins a final two-tournament Florida Swing with The Annika, at the Pelican Golf Club in Belleair. The top 60 players after this week advance to the CME Group Tour Championship at the Tiburon Golf Club in Naples Nov. 20-23.

Jeeno Thitikul has a commanding 797.089-point lead over Minu Yamashita and 926.988 clear of third-place Minjee Lee. Cassie Porter of Australia is on the No. 60 bubble but nine players are within 73 points.

But the big news is 18-year-old high school senior Kai Trump, the granddaughter of President Donald Trump, who is playing as an amateur.

Trump, who signed to play golf at the University of Miami last week, is playing with Hinako Shibuno of Japan and Olivia Cowan of Germany in the first two rounds. They will start at No. 10 at Pelican Bay on Nov. 13, at 12:32 p.m.
