LOUIS, Jean Hughes – It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Jean on October 17, 2025, at the age of 67 years old. Proud father of Jeanaky Ferdinand of the USA. Beloved son of Lucia Louis, and dear bother of Francis Louis of Grande Rivere, Gros-Islet, Daniel Luis of the USA, Jeanette Louis of Grace, Vieux-fort, and Anne Marie Louis of La Ressource, Vieux-fort. Jean will also be deeply missed by his uncles Charles Adoph and his family of England, Rudolph Lubin of Canada, and Robert Louis a.k.a. Boots of Bexon, and his aunts Emelda Sonson a.k.a. Merose and her family of Jetrine, Magdalene Mitchelle of Valmont and her family of St. Croix, Lawrencia Canaii and her family of Micoud, and Agnes Naly and her family of Lamentin, Martinique. Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews, Kendall of Degazon, Randall of Degazon, Simon Mathurin of La Ressource, Malina, Yasmine and Louise of Degazon, Jeanalle Louise of La Toc Road, Cheron and Christi Louis of Grace, Vieux-fort, as well as 6 grand nieces and nephews, and his many cousins. Jean will also be missed by his family in Canada which includes Cathy and Kevin Theophilus, Daniella Theophilus, Phillip and Leanne Theophilus, Ben-Michah and Meagan Theophilus, Gayna Theophilus, Tania Brand, his God-children Mackenzie Lowes and Taye Lee Theophilus, his nephews Zayn, Micah and niece Willow Theophilus, and great-nephew Ashton, Treson and great-niece Amiyah Lowes. Jean will be forever in the hearts of all his family, friends and his cycling buddies. A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at the McCleister Funeral Home, 495 Park Road N, Brantford from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. in the chapel. Interment to follow at Oakhill Cemetery. The family invites everyone to join them after the interment back at the funeral home for some refreshments in the hospitality suite.
