Whites To Host League One Side In Trophy

Wanderers will find out which League One rival they will face in the last-32 of the Vertu Trophy when the draw is made tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon.
The Whites guaranteed themselves a home draw in the first knock-out round after topping their qualifying group with three straight wins.
Wanderers, who will be ball number five in draw B of the northern section, also know which of four teams – all from League One – they could potentially face at the Toughsheet Community Stadium.
Finishing top of their group means Steven Schumacher’s men, who beat Oldham 6-2 on Tuesday night to follow up earlier wins over Rotherham United and Manchester City’s U21s, will play a runner-up from another group which ensures a tie against Stockport County, Blackpool, Bradford City or Barnsley.
The draw will be shown live on Sky Sports at 2.30pm on Thursday, with first-round ties to be played in the week starting 1 December.
Before that, Wanderers have a huge date at the Toughsheet Community Stadium when they resume their League One campaign against Bradford City on Saturday, 22nd November (KO 3pm).
Schumacher’s side will be seeking a ninth successive home win in front of a bumper crowd. To be there and backing the boys, please get your tickets HERE
