Technology Stocks Keep Sliding. December Rate-Cut Odds Are Below 50%.

The Nasdaq Composite was down 2.4%. The S&P 500 was down 1.6%. The Dow was down 628 points, or 1.3%, after finishing north of 48,000 for the first time on Wednesday.
Roughly 200 stocks in the S&P 500 were rising, but a continued selloff in tech, momentum, and AI were the biggest drag on the index. Consumer discretionary, tech, and communication services were all down 2% or more. Health care, energy, and consumer staples were the market’s leaders.
