Molly-Mae Hague’s split agony: ‘I can’t cope with Tommy Fury leaving again’

Since their shocking split in August 2024, Love Island sweethearts Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Furyhave been trying to get their relationship back on track.
However, Closer can reveal that the influencer is more than apprehensive about Tommy’s next possible career move, admitting ‘the thought of being separated again’ feels too soon for her.
Our source explains, ‘Tommy was approached for I’m A Celebrity!, proper conversations were happening. It would’ve been a massive move for him, and the show was really keen. But Molly just wasn’t comfortable with it. She hates the idea of him going in there. It genuinely scares her.’

The couple – who are parents to two-year-old daughter, Bambi – met on the fifth series of Love Island and were together for five years before splitting, with Tommy, 26, later admitting that his alcohol problems were the breaking point for fiancée Molly, also 26, who then kicked him out of their family home. After a string of sightings of the pair together near where they live in Manchester, they officially re-kindled their relationship this summer. And now, the couple are keen to not let history repeat itself.
The insider says, ‘They’ve just got back on track and he’s only recently just moved back in. She’s being honest about it, she’s not ready for being split apart for weeks on end. It’s a very awkward situation. They’ve been rebuilding things quietly and she’s worried something like this would shake the foundations when they’re only just getting steady again. It’s not that she doesn’t want him to succeed – she does! She’s proud of him but the idea of him disappearing into the jungle with no contact, after everything they’ve been through, makes her anxious and worry she wouldn’t cope.
‘No one knows what will happen,’ the source adds. ‘For Tommy, it’s a dream gig, he’d smash it. He was excited about the opportunity, but he’s torn. He knows how much it affects Molly, and he doesn’t want to do anything that risks the progress they’ve made. For Molly, it’s simple: it just feels too soon. She’s not emotionally ready. They’re trying to prioritise their relationship right now, not test it.’
