2026 NRL Draw Unveiled

The South Sydney Rabbitohs will play 16 games in Sydney in 2026, as well as playing four games in Queensland, plus trips to Western Australia, Victoria and the Australian Capital Territory throughout the upcoming NRL season.
At the heart of it all remains Accor Stadium, where the Rabbitohs will play nine matches in 2026. Eight of those are home games where the Cardinal and Myrtle will fly proudly, plus an away fixture against the Bulldogs in the second week of Indigenous Round that comes with reciprocal access rights for Rabbitohs Ticketed Members.

Two Home Games at Allianz Stadium
The Rabbitohs are excited to be bringing two home match fixtures to Allianz Stadium in 2026, as part of our ongoing venue strategy.
The first of those games carries enormous significance. Our home Indigenous Round match will be played at Allianz Stadium against the Parramatta Eels as part of Gadhu Gathering, to be held during the first week of the NRL’s Indigenous Round. Taking place on Gadigal/Bidjigal land, Gadhu Gathering is a festival celebrating Rugby League and Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander culture. It is an opportunity to honour the past while creating new memories for the next generation.
The final home game of the regular season will see South Sydney host our bitter arch-rivals, the Sydney Roosters, at Allianz Stadium in round 27 as we battle for the Ron Coote Cup under the Friday night lights. It is the perfect way to close out the 2026 regular season.

Beyond New South Wales: A National Schedule
The Club’s commitment to Members right across Australia continues in 2026, with home games scheduled for Perth’s Optus Stadium in round six against the Raiders, plus pre-season challenge matches against the Dragons in Wollongong for the Charity Shield and the Sea Eagles in Mudgee.
Queensland will see plenty of the red and green, with four games throughout the state including our annual Magic Round appearance at Suncorp Stadium against the Dolphins in round 11, plus trips to Brisbane to face the Dolphins at Suncorp Stadium in round one, the Cowboys in Townsville in round 12, and the Titans at Cbus Super Stadium on the Gold Coast in round 26. There is also the feature ANZAC Day clash against the Storm at AAMI Park in Melbourne, and a winter Sunday afternoon trip to GIO Stadium in Canberra to face the Raiders in July.

Second Half of Season a Must for Sydney-based Members
From round 14 to 27, Sydney Members and supporters will have the chance to cheer their team home towards a finals berth, with the Rabbitohs only leaving Sydney twice across 13 rounds.
The Rabbitohs will play home games at Accor Stadium against the Broncos in round 15, the Knights in round 19, the Storm in round 21 and the Warriors in round 25, with Members also enjoying the two home games at Allianz Stadium in Indigenous Round 23 against the Eels and the round 27 against the Roosters.
South Sydney will also play Sydney-based away games against the Sea Eagles, Eels, Panthers and Sharks, only leaving Sydney to play the Raiders in round 20 and the Titans in round 26.
A Draw Built for Families and Fans
The NRL has delivered a draw that respects the rhythms of family life. The Rabbitohs will play 13 games on weekends (Saturdays or Sundays) throughout the year, a huge bonus for families looking to make Rugby League part of their weekend routine. That includes four Sunday afternoon matches, perfect for making a day of it.
Prime time remains a big part of the Rabbitohs’ schedule, with seven Friday night football games locked in, while Thursday night commitments have been kept to a manageable three games throughout the regular season, two of which are away games.
Strategic Scheduling and Smart Breaks
The draw gods have been kind in 2026. The Rabbitohs will play several 2025 top-eight teams only once in 2026, including the Broncos (home in round 15), Panthers (away in round 18) and the Warriors (home in round 25), while also facing the Tigers, Dragons, Titans, Cowboys, Sea Eagles and Titans on just the one occasion throughout the year. Notably, South Sydney will avoid the long haul to New Zealand during the upcoming season.
The team will have one five-day turnaround between matches, coming between rounds one and two as the Rabbitohs travel from Brisbane back to Sydney to face the Roosters at Allianz Stadium.
As always, State of Origin will impact team selection, with players unavailable in round 15 against the Broncos prior to Origin II and against the Eels in round 17 prior to Origin III, however South Sydney players selected in State of Origin teams will be able recover after games one and two due to byes, as well as enjoying a long turnaround after game three into a Sunday afternoon game at home.
NRL Themed Rounds
The NRL’s themed rounds this year include Multicultural Round in round three, ANZAC Round in round eight, Beanie for Brain Cancer Round in round 17, Women in League Round in round 20, Indigenous Rounds in round 23 and 24, and Telstra Footy Country Round in round 25.
The Matches That Matter Most
Let’s be honest. The first two matches that every Rabbitohs Member and supporter circles on the draw each year are the battles for the Ron Coote Cup against the Roosters.
In 2026, that rivalry kicks off in round two with the first instalment of the Ron Coote Cup at Allianz Stadium under the Friday night lights, before the final regular season game sees us host the Roosters at the same venue in round 27. Both games are in prime time. Both games with everything on the line. That is how you finish a season.
The first home game of the year comes in round three when we host the Tigers at Polytec Stadium in Gosford, with Accor Stadium unavailable until round five due to other events at the venue. And speaking of round five, that is when we will host the Bulldogs in the annual Good Friday blockbuster, a game that has become one of the great traditions on the Rugby League calendar.
Throughout the year, South Sydney will play away to the Roosters in round two in the first Ron Coote Cup clash, travel to Melbourne for the feature ANZAC Day clash against the Storm in round eight, host the Dolphins in Magic Round in round 11, bring Indigenous Round to Allianz Stadium when we host the Eels in round 23, and round out the season with a monster clash against the Roosters at home at Allianz Stadium.
The 2026 draw offers something for everyone. Whether you are in Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Canberra or Melbourne, you will have the chance to see the South Sydney Rabbitohs in action. Whether you are a family looking for weekend football or a Member who lives for Friday night lights, there are fixtures designed with you in mind.
