As hope returns to Patriots fans after a victory-filled October and a seven-game winning streak, all eyes across New England are on quarterback Drake Maye.
However, it is not only Drake Maye blowing up for the Patriots’ recent success, but also his wife, Ann Michael Maye, who he married earlier this year. Over the past few weeks, Ann has gained viral attention on social media, earning her the title “First Lady of New England” from Patriots fans.
But who exactly is Drake Maye’s wife, and why did she go viral? Here’s everything to know about Pats’ Nation’s leading lady, Ann Michael Maye.
Who is Ann Michael Maye?
Ann Michael Maye was born as Ann Michael Hudson on August 11, 2003 in Huntersville, North Carolina. She grew up in a football-loving family, with her dad playing football at Wofford College and her brother playing football alongside Drake Maye at the University of North Carolina (UNC).
Like her husband, Ann Michael Maye attended William A. Hough High School in Cornelius, North Carolina. Maye is very athletic herself and was named team captain for the field hockey, softball and cheerleading teams throughout high school. She was also involved in school activities, serving as a peer tutor, a member of the National Honor Society and the president of Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
After graduating high school in 2021, Maye attended UNC at Chapel Hill, where she majored in Business Administration with a double minor in Entrepreneurship and Conflict Management, according to her LinkedIn.
During her time in college, Maye was a member of Carolina Women in Business, the Finance Society, the Undergraduate Consulting Club and Kappa Delta Sorority, where she served as Sisterhood Chair and Vice President of Finance. Maye graduated from UNC’s Kenan Flagler Business School with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 2025.
Maye has been extremely supportive of her husband’s journey with the Patriots so far, attending games in red, white and blue and celebrating New England wins on social media. Back when Drake was drafted to the Patriots as the third overall pick in 2024, Ann Michael celebrated with an Instagram post, writing “I can’t wait for this next chapter!”.
“What an incredible blessing it has been to be by your side through all of this,” she added. “GO PATS!!”.
According to Maye’s social media, she has been enjoying settling in to life in Massachusetts since college graduation, exploring Newbury Street with friends, teaching classes at Higher Ground Fitness and taking trips to Newport and Nantucket.
When did Drake and Ann Maye start dating?
Drake Maye has been dating his now wife since middle school, when they were both 12 years old. Maye first made their relationship Instagram-official in January 2020.
The pair stayed together all throughout high school, even when Maye transferred to a different school in Charlotte to be starting quarterback. They attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill together, with Drake entering the NFL Draft in 2024 and Ann Michael graduating in 2025.
Maye proposed in January of 2025, and the couple got married in June 2025 at the Grandfather Golf and Country Club in Linville, North Carolina. The couple gained viral attention online for their decision to donate all their wedding gifts.

Over the past few weeks, Ann Michael Maye has gone viral on TikTok, where she posts game day outfits, lifestyle videos and baking tutorials. Fans have specifically gravitated toward her recent baking videos, where she has made goods like sourdough bread, oatmeal cookies, apple cinnamon oat crumble bars and a spiced apple cider donut loaf.
Following the Patriots’ seven-game winning streak and rumors that Drake Maye will win the 2025 NFL MVP award, Pats Nation has flooded Ann Michael Maye’s TikTok comment section with love.
