SQUAD NEWS: Unchanged for Strikers showdown

The Melbourne Renegades have named an unchanged 13-player squad for tomorrow’s clash with the Adelaide Strikers at Karen Rolton Oval.

After consecutive wins to open their WBBL|11 account, the Renegades will look to continue their strong early form with the same group that has delivered across the first two matches.

Stand-in skipper Georgia Wareham has led from the front, contributing with both bat and ball, collecting five wickets while adding crucial runs through the middle order including a game-winning half-century (her fifth in red).

Knocks from Nicole Faltum (37*) Alice Capsey (30) were also vital in Tuesday’s win against the Thunder while the bowlers have spread the load.

Wareham has impressed coach, Simon Helmot, with her bowling and fielding while captaining in the absence of Sophie Molineux who will miss a third game as she looks to overcome a quad strain.

The Renegades are hopeful Molineux will be ready to go for Sunday’s Melbourne Derby.
