BBC Breakfast host Naga Munchetty took a swipe at her co-star on Thursday (November 13), saying, “That’s not gone down well”.
Throughout this morning’s episode of the popular breakfast show, Naga and her co-host Charlie Stayt kept audiences informed with the day’s top stories from Britain and beyond.
They were supported by Mike Bushell covering the sport, whilst Matt Taylor provided regular updates on the weather. Economic news came from Emma Vardy.
During a later segment, Charlie and Naga introduced a feature about an unusual rope artwork.
“You’ve probably heard the saying, ‘Money for old rope’. Well, the artist David Shrigley has taken the concept to another level,” Naga began, reports the Express.

Charlie added: “The renowned British artist has launched a new exhibition featuring ten tonnes of discarded rope. The installation is up for sale for £1 million.”
In the footage, visual artist David explained his inspiration for creating the piece, saying: “I was interested in the idea that this is a thing that has no value, where its purpose has been exhausted.”
Following the clip, Charlie expressed his enthusiasm for acquiring a version of the artwork for the BBC studio, commenting: “I really like that.”
An uncomfortable moment then unfolded, as Naga remarked: “I hate to agree with you, but I do.”
Charlie added: “We can have it installed here somewhere, couldn’t we? It would look quite nice. What do you think about that?”

The duo sat in awkward silence for a few moments before receiving a sharp reply through their earpieces.
Following their director’s rejection of the suggestion, Charlie continued: “Apparently that’s not gone down well, so, no we’re not going to do that, our director’s just said! I think it’d be nice.”
Naga swiftly moved the conversation along, saying: “Good. I think we should get the news, travel and weather wherever you are. We’ll see you later!”
Elsewhere on today’s programme, Naga and Charlie announced the tragic passing of Baroness Helen Newlove, whilst also delivering breaking news that the UK economy had recorded disappointing growth of just 0.1% in the three months leading up to September.
