Joe Hendry Has Arrived in WWE
Hendry began appearing on WWE TV while he was still under contract with TNA Wrestling. This was due to a partnership between the two companies. Hendry even appeared as Randy Orton’s surprise opponent during “WrestleMania 41.”
Speaking to reporters after “WrestleMania 41,” WWE chief content officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque hinted that Hendry would eventually be factored into long-term plans. He even admitted to telling Hendry that this would be the first of many more “WrestleMania” shows in his future.
Hendry’s current feud is taking place on the “NXT” brand. He has aligned himself with Thea Hail in an attempt to capture the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship from Ethan Page and Chelsea Green. At the conclusion of the Nov. 4 episode of “NXT,” Hendry and Page ruined the championship celebration for Page and Green.
During Tuesday’s edition of “NXT,” Hail pinned Alba Fyre of Green’s Secret Hervice. The last few weeks have been building towards an inevitable AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship match between the team of Hendry and Hail and the champions Page and Green.
