Liverpool have seen several of their first-team players called up for international duty in November, alongside others from their academy and loan ranks.
This is the final international break of the year, and the majority of Arne Slot‘s squad have left for various qualifiers and friendlies.
Elsewhere, Liverpool currently have over eight players out on loan during the 2025/26 season, including Harvey Elliott, who joined Aston Villa on transfer deadline day.
The total package for the 22-year-old was worth £35million, including sell-on and buy-back clauses.
Villa fended off competition from RB Leipzig, while Elliott had previously turned down interest from West Ham and Fulham earlier in the window.
However, the move has not gone as many would have expected.
Elliott was hoping to secure regular playing time, but he is already struggling under Unai Emery.
In the Premier League this season, Elliott has started just one game, playing a total of 98 minutes so far.
Aston Villa endured a difficult start to the season under Emery but have shown signs of improvement in recent weeks.
As a result, Elliott is finding it tough to break into the side.
Emi Buendia’s form has not helped, with the Argentinian putting up impressive performances for Villa.
He was on target as Emery’s side thrashed Bournemouth 4-0 on Sunday.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Elliott is currently unhappy at Aston Villa due to his limited opportunities.
Romano wrote in his exclusive GIVEMESPORT newsletter: “At the moment, it depends on his performances in training.
“The situation is still not changing and of course, Elliott is not happy.”
Elliott joined Liverpool in 2019 and has since made 149 appearances, scoring 17 goals.
During his time at Anfield, he won two Premier League titles, two Carabao Cups, the FA Cup, and the Community Shield.
