Vivian passed away peacefully on November 11, 2025 at the age of 97 at Sun Parlor Home for Seniors in Leamington. Cherished Mom to Cathy (Harvey) Martel, Chris Castanier and Mark (Sue) Castanier. Proud Nana to Aimee and Paul (Sarah) Martel, Emma and Owen Castanier, Nicole (Dan) Laven and Janine (Francis) Doyle. Great-Grandmother to Olivia, Charlotte, Maggie, Thomas, Therese, Ceclia and Joseph. Dear sister to Lynne Thompkins, Shirley Wilkins and predeceased by Arthur (late Ethel) Donovan and Jerry (late June) Donovan. Reunited with her parents Charles & Viola Donovan. Special Aunt Viv to many nieces and nephews. Vivian was a valued Assistant to the President at the Economic Club of Detroit for over 30 years and enjoyed the companionship of Jerry George. She had a gift in communicating with others in many roles and facets of life. Throughout Viv’s life, she was fiercely independent. She was a veracious reader and in her later years enjoyed driving her sports car, travelling, cutting her grass, weekly movies dates with her friend Anna Richards, being sociable, appreciating the arts but her greatest joy was being with her family and friends. If you so desire, donations to the Downtown Mission would be appreciated. Visiting Saturday November 15, 2025 from 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. followed by Funeral Service at 11: 00 a.m. at Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. Burial to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
