India-A scores 297/4 in Rising Stars Asia Cup, the fifth highest team score in T20s

India-A scored a massive 297-run total against United Arab Emirates in Doha in the Rising Stars Asia Cup 2025 on Friday. This was the joint-fifth highest score by a team in T20 cricket.

The side was in contention to become just the fifth team to cross a total of 300 runs in a T20 innings, but could score only 13 runs in the final over.

The total was possible due to Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who blazed away to a hundred in just 32 balls, and eventually scored 144 runs off just 42 balls. Skipper Jitesh Sharma ensured India-A capitalized on the platform and contributed an unbeaten 83 off just 32 balls.

The score of 297 tied India’s total against Bangladesh from 2024. Baroda created the record for the highest score in T20s, with its 349 against Sikkim in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in 2024.

Only three other teams — Zimbabwe, Nepal, and England — have managed to score 300 or more in an innings.
