Linda Plant, best known as one of Lord Sugar’s trusted advisors on The Apprentice and often dubbed the “Queen of Mean”, has praised property entrepreneur Samuel Leeds after speaking at one of his academy events.

Plant, who built her own multimillion-pound business empire from a working-class background, described her experience at Leeds’s Property Investors Academy as both inspiring and enjoyable.

“Thank you, Samuel. It was a great pleasure for me to speak. I love what you are achieving. I was happy to be part of your fantastic journey. I loved the people. Anytime you need me, call. Let’s please keep in touch,” she said.

She added, “I loved last night. I’m so thrilled to work with you and the students. I would love to do more with you on big events.”

Inspiring the next generation
The event drew praise not only from Plant but also from attendees, who described the evening as “amazing” and “inspiring”, with many highlighting Plant’s warmth and insight.

Leeds commented: “Linda has a reputation for being tough in the boardroom, but in person, she was incredibly generous with her time and encouragement. The students were buzzing after hearing her insight, and it was an honour to host her.”

Apprentice connections
It is not the first time Leeds has welcomed figures from The Apprentice into its network. Over the years, his events have also featured past winners, including Joseph Valente, Sian Gabbido, and Simon Ambrose, who famously helped Lord Sugar build his property empire.

Leeds said: “Having people like Linda and former winners engage with the academy shows our students first-hand what can be achieved with hard work and vision. It’s priceless insight.”

Building bridges
For Plant, who has often been portrayed as fearsome on television, the event was also a chance to show a different side. Leeds said she was “warm, kind, and generous” with both her advice and her encouragement, leaving students motivated to pursue their own investment journeys.
