Will Driscoll (Lucas Hodgson-Wale) currently believes he’s in a relationship with former school teacher Megan (Beth Nixon) in Coronation Street, unaware that the woman is abusing him.
Will was introduced to us a little while after the new Driscoll family, because he was staying away from Weatherfield. When he was late getting to the cobbles, dad Ben Driscoll (Aaron McCusker) panicked and the police were called.
The youngster arrived at the pub eventually, but was joined by Megan. She spun a story that ultimately made it look like she had been really helpful to the family by bringing Will home. In reality, things were a lot darker.
When Will snuck out into the ginnel later that night, he met Megan and she warned him to stop acting like a loose cannon, before promising him that they could be together again soon.
Due to the fact Will believes his time with Megan is a lot more exciting than hanging out with his family, he is struggling to settle into his new home.

In upcoming episodes, things are made even worse, as Megan turns her attention to someone else on the cobbles.
In the shop, Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) bumps into Megan and learns from Will that she’s hoping to move nearby. Daniel offers to ask about jobs at the local school, and Megan hands over her number.
This leaves Will feeling jealous and annoyed, how will he deal with Megan potentially starting a relationship with Daniel?
‘We can see her slowly worm her way into the family and befriend Eva and Maggie and really get the women on side with her’, newcomer Beth Nixon said.
‘They think she’s good for Will; they think she’s a brilliant mentor. So no one is suspecting anything at the moment. But we will see Lauren become suspicious because Lauren has obviously experienced something very similar to what Will’s going through.

‘So she knows what to look for; she knows the signs and she spots them on the street. So Megan changes tack and decides to use Daniel as the cover-up.
‘We get to sort of uncover how truly vile she can be. She will stop at nothing to come out on top and survive, basically.’
Despite playing a ‘calculated’ villain, Beth revealed that it was important for her to ‘find the humanity’ in Megan and ‘make her a rounded character’.
‘She’s not a one-dimensional character. She’s not just this evil person. She has all these other things going on—all these life experiences she’s had, which have led her up to this point.

‘The audience doesn’t know, the other characters don’t know, but she knows. So, there are all these things I’ve decided in my preparation,’ Beth explained.
‘She’s very insecure. She’s desperate to be loved; she’s desperate to be adored. And her reasons for that will eventually be uncovered, and we’ll dig deeper and find out more about her. But she’s a flawed person. She’s really complex.
‘As an actor, you’ve got to delve deep and find a reason for why a person, a “villain” as such is a loose term, behaves in that way.’
