“Take everything with a grain of salt”: Perez Hilton reacts to rumors Chris Evans cheated on wife Alba Baptista after baby’s birth
American blogger and columnist Perez Hilton has shared his reaction after Hollywood actor Chris Evans made headlines for allegedly cheating on his wife. This comes just weeks after the Captain America star welcomed his first child with wife Alba Baptista on Friday, October 24, 2025, in Massachusetts, as per TMZ.
On Monday, November 11, 2025, Perez Hilton took to his blog and discussed the rumors swirling around the 44-year-old star cheating on his 28-year-old wife after she gave birth to their first child last month. According to the media personality, the speculation began on social media earlier this month, on November 2.
In his blog, Perez cited a blind item that claimed that an A-Lister from Boston, known for playing a “clean-cut hero”, was spotted at a “no cameras, no questions” kind of local bar. The anonymous posts also hinted that the male star was allegedly with a brunette, who was not his wife.
Reacting to the rumors, Perez Hilton quipped in his blog:
“Take everything with a grain of salt, obviously. There has been no confirmation these sightings are even of Chris Evans, let alone any evidence they’re accurate. But if true, Chris may actually be America’s a** in a totally different way!”
Meanwhile, the anonymous blind item alleged that Alba Baptista was away visiting her family before the arrival of their baby. The 47-year-old blogger also quoted the blind item:
“Staff there say he’s polite, tips well, and always leaves with the same brunette who never seems to stay long enough to need a coat. One regular called it ‘the worst-kept secret in the room.’ To his fans, he’s the perfect gentleman. Around Boston, though, a few people are starting to wonder if that charm is part of the act.”
Chris Evans and Alba Baptista’s relationship timeline explored
Chris Evans and his Portuguese actress wife, Alba Baptista, have been private about their relationship. According to People, while the two were first linked in January 2022, a source revealed that the pair had been dating “for over a year” in November 2022.
Chris and Alba, who is 16 years his junior, tied the knot in September 2023 during a ceremony at a private estate in Cape Cod, Mass. The married couple reportedly made their red carpet debut six months after their secret wedding at the 2024 Vanity Fair Oscars party.
Chris Evans, who was People’s 2022 Sexiest Man Alive, previously spoke to the outlet about wanting to start a family:
